Can you believe that stores are already displaying Christmas and other holiday products already? It was almost as if as soon as everyone took off their costumes at the end of the night on Halloween, poof! Instantly all about the winter holidays. From Hanukah to Christmas, Kwanza to New Years, retail store everywhere have officially started the holiday madness. Whether you’re on-board with the early start, or wish people would calm down just a little bit, the Holidays are officially here whether we like it or not. Instead of fighting it, embrace what’s out there: today were giving you 4 reasons why it’s okay to start getting excited about winter holidays…even when it’s still 60 degrees outside.
Reason #1: Sales. Yes, it can be annoying to start seeing stores promoting Christmas sales in October, but find the silver lining–it gives you that much more time to budget and figure out what to get everyone. One week may be great for purchasing electronics and technology, another may be great for clothing and shoes. Use these stores’ admittedly annoying commercials and overbearing coupons to your advantage to get everyone on your list something great, and save a pretty penny in the process.
Reason #2: Holiday lingerie. Need I say more? Now our favorite brands that we turn to every other day of the year are upping their game and showing off their holiday garments. Added glitter, added sparkle, festive colors, I love it all. And, having lingerie and undie sets specifically set aside for a particular time of year make them that much more special when you get to wear them. Check back later for some features on our favorite holiday pieces!
Reason #3: Adorable accessories. Yes, certain regions of the country get tired of the cold easier than others. But there’s something to be said about cuddling up in a huge scarf, or finding mittens so adorable you won’t even care you can’t text in them. Go ahead and reference Reason #1 to snatch up these products at great prices for yourself.
Reason #4: Gifts! Giving, receiving, wrapping, the anticipation…while it may seem shallow, gifts are a wonderful way to be able to take at least one time of year to treat someone special to something equally special. Skip the easiest option like a gift card or cash, and think about something unique that would be exactly what that person wants. It may take a little more time, but we all know how rewarding it feels to hand over a perfectly wrapped box with an even more perfect gift inside.
