Doing boudoir photography shoots is such a fantastic experience for both myself, and the clients I get to work with. Feeling sexy is never a bad thing, and being able to help someone feel that way is very rewarding. One of the things I love is seeing how other boudoir and fashion shoots come out. Looking back at 2012, there were some pretty spectacular, fabulous, and sexy moments captured in boudoir and fashion, so Iʼve picked three of my favorites and am sharing them with you!

Thereʼs something very powerful about the simplicity of a black and white photo. It can be a celebrity, it can be your best friend, a candid of a stranger, heck, it could even be a baby. Once you put something in black and white, it seems to maintain a certain quality and sophistication. That being said, not everything is suited for black and white, but Karen Neurnberg, photographed by Renam Christofoletti hit the nail on the head in the November issue of GQ Italia.

Men rule the pages of magazines just as much as women do, yet somehow, often times when people think of editorial fashion, womenʼs fashion is the first to come to mind. Magazines like Esquire have definitely been a friendly reminder that men should get just as much attention as the next gal. Take Tom Sturridgeʼs shoot in the October issue of Esquire, who knew sweaters could be so sexy?

I love the simplicity of many photos, but you canʼt deny that sometimes a theme is a fun twist. Nobody took themes more seriously this year than Victoriaʼs Secret. At their annual fashion show, audiences saw how a lingerie show quickly turned into a circus. Literally. It wasnʼt exactly done for editorial purposes, but the photos captured from the production will be certain to inspire those looking for a sexy twist on an otherwise ridiculous theme.

Those are just three of the many that stuck out to me in 2012. Keep your eyes peeled for what 2013 has to offer, and if you decide to do boudoir, you could be the star of that photo!
