Bridal season is in full swing! There’s tons of of great ways to celebrate your upcoming nuptials, but one of my favorite trends is the lingerie party. If you’re not familiar with the concept, it’s when you host a party that features different designers promoting their products. Sometimes it doubles as a bachelorette party, but you can tailor the experience to exactly what you want–even if it’s just you and a couple of your friends having a unique shopping experience. Keep reading to see how to plan the perfect lingerie party.
Usually these are done in your own home, so make sure you have a relatively large and open room that will accommodate the number of people you’re look to host. You’ll also want to get in touch with a representative to bring samples to your house or contact your favorite boutique about using their space. While this may sound like the trickiest part, lingerie stores are eager for more intimate settings than a retail store to try to sell their products. Some companies like Flora Nuit even specialize in bringing their own pop-up shop right to your living room to display a variety of brands.

Now the part you can contribute to–decor and snacks. Make sure to decorate your space in a way that is not over-the-top, as you don’t want the experience to be seen as a cheesy themed party. You can’t go wrong with home-made finger foods, adorable cupcakes, and of course a little bubbly never hurt either! Pinterest is the perfect site to go to for finding and experimenting with other crafty women’s recipes and designs.
Send out invitations and have an rsvp date at least 2 weeks before your selected date. This will give you the time necessary to work with the retailer in what items they may bring, as well as giving you some time to prepare your space!
Whether you plan on buying a lot or not, a lingerie party is a great way to bond with your friends, as well as having a stress-free shopping experience–after all, we all know how daunting and exhausting it can be to find the perfect bra in a department store.
Has anyone ever thrown their own lingerie party, or attended one? What was your favorite part?
