Hooray for more Spring trends! There really is no shortage of new fashions to explore, whether that be runway, ready to wear, lingerie, or what Iʼm focusing on this week–nail color trends. Donʼt think you have to stick strictly to pastels and Easter-y colors just because itʼs spring, youʼll see bolder colors that still have a fresh effect popping up in many of the color palettes for makeup this season.
If you like simple, classic, and clean, then the pastel trend would actually work well for you. Light colors like cream, beige, lavender, and pinks are a nice way to keep your nails feminine and pretty, but without standing out too much. Theyʼre also great because theyʼre the most neutral, meaning that you donʼt have to worry about changing your outfit because your bright nails clash with it.
If you want to try a fun design while sticking with the neutral shades, adding printed stickers to a pastel base, or even just on one finger, is an easy but eye-catching way to amp up the pastel trend.
Darker nails still have their place in the warmer months. Steer away from the warm jewel tones like deep purples and emeralds which were all the range during the fall and winter. Classics like blacks and reds arenʼt going anywhere, and to switch up your style from season to season, you can always try accenting them with different colors. This polka-dotted version is fun and fresh for the new season.
The craze about Fifty Shades of Gray didnʼt stop with the page-turning book, gray nails were actually all over the runway during fashion week. Donʼt think of gloomy skies or dreary clouds, this color trend ends up being very sophisticated, but when you play with all of the different shades you can still have a little fun. Grey is a great compromise between neutrals and plain black, and you can see here that it looks pretty darn fabulous!
Finally, color. Ahh yes, the neons and brightness that make us think of spring break, laying on the beach, and catching some real ray from the sun for the first time in months. Playing with color is always fun, and when you master the art of adding your own designs, the possibilities are endless.
Buying new clothes and keeping up with seasonal outfits can admittedly be exhausting, but swiping on fresh nail paint is an easy way to keep up with the latest color trends.
