Honestly, I canʼt get enough of bodysuits. When they first appeared on the fashion scene Iʼll admit I didnʼt jump right on board. The way they were displayed through American Apparel didnʼt exactly suit my style. But Iʼve really enjoyed seeing how theyʼve evolved from lingerie to daywear, to that sexy combination of underwear as outerwear. They are also perfect for boudoir shoots if you want to show a little but still look sexy and fashion forward at the same time. Here are some of my favorites and all of the fabulous different ways you can wear them. Wearing body suits as outerwear can be in the traditional leotard shape to wear with pants or a skirt, and even rompers are a type of body suit. Granted, rompers are usually more for warmer months since theyʼre shorts, but hey, never too early to start shopping! This piece from Motel Rocks is a romper, but you can see that by layering tights underneath itʼs completely appropriate for fall and winter.

And now for bodysuits as lingerie, my favorite! Just like any other piece of lingerie they can be feminine and flirty, classic and cool, or edgy and daring. Just like a basic black bra or your favorite pair of jeans, this classic black lace bodysuit is a staple every woman should have in her lingerie wardrobe–black is flattering on everyone, and lace is always welcome in the bedroom.
